OUR STRENGTH

Walker Lawson Interior Design Inc. is a full service licensed interior design firm based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, led by Jane Lawson, Principal and Mark Fewster, Associate.

Hospitality design built this firm and remains the key focus of our practice. Projects have included major hotel brands across Western Canada including Delta Hotels and Resorts, Westin Hotels, Coast Hotels, Marriot, Sheraton and Ramada properties as well as independent hoteliers, golf and resort developments. Work within these projects has included food and beverage, lobbies, club lounges, guestrooms, executive suites, public facilities, recreational and administrative facilities, employee facilities and specialty items including custom furnishings and millwork.

Corporate design represents a major component of our portfolio and has included work with many prominent Canadian businesses including Newalta Corporation, Schlumberger Canada Limited, Trican Well Service, BMO Nesbitt Burns. Regional clients have included law firms, investment houses, major oil companies, web, marketing and communication companies and real estate brokerages. Work within these projects has included lease feasibility studies, programming, construction budgeting, scheduling, concept and design development, construction drawings and specifications, furniture specification and bidding, contract administration and post occupancy evaluations.

Our international experience includes work on Canadian Embassy Chanceries and official Residences across the globe.

OUR APPROACH

Our goal is to continually advance the interior environment by providing creative solutions and technical expertise to achieve our clients' vision. Walker Lawson Interior Design Inc. has over 25 years of experience in the design industry with current market knowledge of real estate and property management services, local building systems and construction practices. We approach our projects with enthusiasm and commitment with special attention paid to cost, schedule, and quality control related to the complexities of the design and construction industry.

OUR TEAM

We are a dynamic team of dedicated design professionals. All team members hold Bachelor degrees, while the firm has representation in the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), Interior Designers of Alberta (IDA), Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), Canadian Green Building Council (CaGBC), Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) and the Alberta Association of Architects (AAA). We annually attend the major North American design shows including Neocon World’s Trade Fair in Chicago and Hospitality Design (HD) Exposition & Conference in Las Vegas.
